Rebecca Trevisan
Year 5.1
Rebecca Trevisan has been teaching at St Andrew’s Grammar since 2016. She holds a Double Bachelor in The Arts and Secondary Education, and a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education from Edith Cowan University. She taught Primary Music and Secondary Drama for five years, and she recently made the transition to classroom teaching in the Primary School.
In the classroom, Rebecca prides herself on her organisation, professionalism and the care she has for each individual student. She approaches teaching with a sense of humour and ensures every child feels welcome and safe, working hard to build a strong rapport with her students. Rebecca believes in intrinsic motivation, and that learning itself is the greatest reward. She therefore encourages her students to take ownership over their own education, and to develop a growth mindset that is conducive to lifelong learning.
Rebecca supplements practical, hands-on learning with theoretical and reflective activities, and ensures her lessons have a balance of independent and collaborate tasks, giving each child a chance to succeed. She loves working with young people of all ages and from all walks of life, and watching them learn and grow.
