Mia Ridzuan

Mia Ridzuan joined St Andrew’s Grammar in 2021 having graduated from Curtin University with a Master of Teaching degree. With a background in Psychology, Mia successfully implemented the Psychology ATAR course at St Andrew’s, while filling the Human Biology teaching role. She currently teaches Psychology in Year 11 and 12, and Science from Years 7 to 10.
Mia’s pedagogy is strongly informed by positive psychology, which focuses on the promotion of mental wellbeing and achieving a life with meaning, pleasure, engagement, positive relationships and accomplishment. In addition to helping students achieve their academic goals, Mia believes in empowering students to pursue their passions and develop a love for learning and discovery.
Mia’s personal interests include powerlifting in which she competes on a state level. She is also passionate about the environment, lending a hand to HOPE club in 2021 to raise awareness about local and global environmental issues.
