Eleni Dwyer-Kotsiloeu
Greek Studies: Year 3 - 6
Eleni Dwyer-Kotsiloeu is an enthusiastic Primary and High School Teacher of Modern Greek Language and a qualified High School Teacher in the subject areas of HAAS and English. Eleni was born and raised in Athens, Greece, where she graduated from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences majoring in Sociology and Journalism. Eleni came to Perth in 1991 where she completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Sociology, History and English and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education.
Eleni has worked previously in John Forrest Senior High School as a HASS teacher and she has been a member of the teaching staff of St Andrew’s Grammar since 2009. Eleni also taught English as a second language in Athens for three years, 2014- 2016, in a private foreign language institution.
Eleni is a very passionate teacher of the Modern Greek Language, Greek history and Culture. She looks forward to working with students of all ages and to continuing the enhancement and expansion of their knowledge and love for the Greek Language and Culture, which are the basis of the Modern Western Civilisation. Eleni believes that the student must be the centre of a teacher’s educational efforts and that three are main components of great and effectual teaching are: structure, love and care.
