Betty Parissis
Greek Studies: Pre-Primary
Betty Parissis has obtained her teaching qualification from Edith Cowan University and has been teaching for nearly 25 years. Since becoming a mother Betty has been teaching Greek Studies at St Andrew’s Grammar at a part time capacity.
To further develop her qualifications in the Greek language Betty has completed a certificate in Greek fluency and studied at the Crete University in Greece. Betty is an energetic teacher of the Greek language and enjoys making learning Greek fun for all children. She uses a variety of learning experiences which engages the children and enhances their understanding of the Greek language.
Betty believes in the importance of learning another language. It helps you to further understand your first language and encourages one to learn a new culture and even a new way of looking at things. An old proverb says: one language, one man; two languages, two men.
