Modern Greek Studies in Years 7 to 10, is a field that focuses on the acquisition of the Modern Greek language, literature, history, geography, culture, folklore, food, songs and dances.
In the Advanced classes the emphasis is more on the language exploration, vocabulary expansion and experimentation. The advanced students have greater control of language structures and systems. They use Modern Greek to communicate and interact.
In the Beginner/General classes the focus is more on the cultural aspects of the Hellenic civilization and language as they have significantly shaped the areas of science, the arts, architecture, medicine, mathematics, literature, politics and philosophy.
