In Years 7-10, students are studying the Australian Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science and History, and the WA Curriculum Framework in Society and Environment, Language (Modern Greek), Health and Physical Education, Religious Education/Values Education and Electives.
All students in Year 7-10 sit an ACER external examination in English, Mathematics and Science for diagnostic purposes. This data, along with NAPLAN, ICAS and school reports, is the evidence based data used to allocate students to English and Mathematics extension classes, monitor student progress and to create teaching and learning programmes.
In Years 7 – 10, students study:
- Four periods (55 minute periods) per week in English, Mathematics, Science, History/Society and Environment, Greek Studies and, Physical and Health Education
- Two periods per week in Art, Drama, Music, Home Economics, Textiles and Robotics, with Computing in Years 9 and 10. Students study two electives per semester.
- One period per week in Orthodox Studies or Faith and Values
WACE courses are offered in Year 11/12 from stages P to 3.
The school offers the following courses: English, Literature, Mathematics, Mathematics Specialist, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Modern History, Modern Greek, Drama, Physical Education Studies, Visual Arts, Food Science and Technology, Family, Children and Community, Cert II in Business, Careers and Enterprise, Geography and Workplace Learning.
There are four 55 minute periods each week and an extra 55 minute period every three weeks in each course.
