In Years 1 and 2, a specialist teacher takes two sessions a week and ensures there is a focus on speaking, reading and writing through music, poetry, games, hands-on activities and role play.
In Years 3 to 6, the classes are taken by two specialist teachers who work collaboratively to provide a differentiated curriculum that caters for the levels of all students. Again, there is a focus on speaking, reading and writing using a variety of activities to motivate the students.
There is also a focus on Greek culture and each class participates in Greek dance on a fortnightly basis. Throughout the year there are special assemblies that feature important historic days in the Greek calendar where students present items in both English and Greek.
