Teacher Development Day – Monday 30 March
Dear Parents & Guardians,
I would like to thank you for your messages of support to the school and our teachers in particular for the efforts that they are going to in teaching your children in a remote learning platform. They have done a superb job in being ready to deliver their learning online with your children.
While we are very happy with the work that is being done by our teachers and students online, we are taking Monday 30 March 2020 for teacher professional development in the use of Zoom and other platform sectors to enhance even more on what we are offering so far.
This means that there will be limited online instruction face-to-face or videoconferencing on Monday 30 March 2020 for Primary students (from 9-12pm) or Secondary students (from 12.30–3.30pm). Our staff will work around these times to provide online learning on the day or will set appropriate work for students to complete on Monday. Online learning for all students will recommence Tuesday, 31 March.
You will have heard that state government schools will be closing for holidays a week early on Friday, 3 April in preparation for Term 2 online learning and as yet we are yet to determine whether this change impacts independent schools as well.
We will be in contact when we have more information on what is to happen with instruction in Term 2.
Keep safe and please, for the sake of all, continue to self-isolate so we can flatten the curve.
Kind Regards
Craig Monaghan
Principal
