Warm Welcome to 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pleasure that I write to you after a vibrant and energetic week one.

It has been a tremendous start to 2019. Monday witnessed our students returning to their school and a number of students attending St. Andrew’s Grammar for the first time.  It was an exciting day connecting students with teachers and it was fantastic being in classes and seeing the wonderful dynamics between the students and our teachers.

Our focus in 2019 is to work as a K-12 school where transitions are carefully handled and where Primary and Secondary school work hand in hand.  This is the real strength of an all-through school and something that this school needs to ensure that our students gain from.  Whether it be pedagogy, academic studies, sports or house system we see 2019 as a fresh start.  A start to ensure the programmes we offer are as good as they can be. As a result, we will be working hard this year to build on and expand the programmes available to your students with an enhanced Sporting programme; academic afterschool tutorial programmes; House system and Co-curricular programme.

We will work hard at ensuring that we are effectively communicating with you and in doing so continue to develop very positive relations with you, our parents.

We see 2019 as a fresh start for the school, where high expectations are shared, every student aspires to achieve their own level of excellence and where enjoyment of school by every student is paramount to everything we do. A happy child learns best and we aim to ensure that every student reaches their own level of excellence.

You will see later in this edition various welcome events and celebrations that we have had week 1 as well as a summary of our excellent ATAR results.  We had some outstanding results of which have been shared and we will continue to build on these results further.
