Managing Student Behaviour

At all times there is a focus on recognising and rewarding positive behaviours through both intrinsic and extrinsic awards. At assemblies Merit Awards, as well as awards for Sport, Greek Studies, Virtues and Citizenship, are presented. Students are placed into Houses named Artemis, Apollo, Demeter and Poseidon and receive points for exhibiting good behaviour.

If a student breaks a school rule, Timeout is given. If there are repeated offences, further Timeout is issued and parents are contacted. If inappropriate behaviour continues, the student is placed on an Individual Behaviour Management Plan and possible suspension.

There is a ‘no tolerance’ policy towards bullying and students are taught strategies to cope with this type of inappropriate behaviour.
