Planning and teaching for English, Mathematics, Science and History follows the Australian Curriculum Scope and Sequence content. In Society and Environment, Health, Technology and Enterprise and the specialist subjects the Curriculum Framework continues to be used until the Australian Curriculum documents are available.
There is an extensive assessment programme that drives planning, teaching and learning and incorporates Summative and Formative assessment. Compulsory testing includes the collection of Baseline Data at the beginning of the year, NAPLAN testing in Term 2, Even Years NAPLAN testing in Term 3 and Common Assessment Tasks throughout the year.
The reporting process includes Parent-Student-Teacher interviews with goal setting at the end of Term 1, a Semester Report at the end of Term 2, a Learning Journey at the end of Term 3 and a Final Report at the end of Term 4.
